We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Sustainability and Reporting to join our Sustainability team. This role is located in New York City - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
• Engage in developing and reviewing all sustainability reporting, including data collection, analysis, verification, and documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of sustainability reports and disclosures for various authorities, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the EU Taxonomy Regulation, the UK Climate Financial Risk Forum (CFRF), California. This would include the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of existing and emerging sustainability regulations, standards, and best practices on the corporation's operations, performance, and reputation.
• Provide guidance to senior management and business units on sustainability reporting requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality, credibility, and transparency of sustainability reporting.
• Develop and implement sustainability reporting training, awareness, and communication programs for internal and external audiences.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, environmental science, or related field.
• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in sustainability reporting, auditing, or consulting, preferably in a large corporation or a public accounting firm.
• Extensive knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as the GRI Standards, the SASB Standards, the TCFD Recommendations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to handle complex and diverse sustainability reporting issues.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, business units, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards and the ability to uphold the corporation's values and reputation.
• Strong leadership, management, organizational skills and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Workiva and sustainability reporting software and tools.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $97,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
